Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Almaty and City Tour
Salem! Welcome to Almaty and experience the vibrant cultural and culinary capital of Kazakhstan. You will be met at the airport and transferred to a 5/4 star hotel or similar. After the check-in at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to have breakfast before we start our city tour. Guided tour of the museums and exhibitions will showcase the historical significance of the city to the country. We will have lunch at a restaurant, where we will enjoy traditional Kazakh cuisine in a very cozy setting. Thereafter, we will explore the Panfilov park and Zenkov cathedral. In the evening, we will have reservations at a restaurant, where guests will enjoy the special welcome dinner.

Day 2: Almaty - Charyn National Park
In the morning, after breakfast, we will begin our grand safari adventure of Jetisu by heading to Charyn National Park to take a hike around the Charyn Canyons. We will head towards a glamping site, which is located nearby for a check-in before we begin the trail. After traversing some parts of the trail, lunch break will be at Tary cafe, conveniently situated within the park. For a breathtaking view of the canyon, we will visit the park's observation points, especially during sunset when the panorama reveals its awe-inspiring beauty. Dinner will be served at the glamping site.

Day 3: Charyn - Jarkent - Altyn Emel National Park - Jarkent
After breakfast we will head to the town of Jarkent to see the main attraction of the city - Jarkent Mosque with the elements of a Buddhist temple. Unique religious building, very richly decorated with wooden carving and fresco paintings. We will check-in at a local guesthouse and have lunch before continuing our adventure to Altyn Emel National Park and Singing Sand Dunes. It is one of the largest national parks in Kazakhstan, known for its spectacular scenery. Dinner will be served at the guesthouse in the evening.

Day 4: Altyn Emel - Tekeli - Lower Kora Gorge - Tekeli
Have a breakfast with gorgeous views of the Altyn Emel from the Glamping sight. After breakfast, our safari adventure will take us through the national park and arrive at the village of Tekeli for a check-in and lunch at a local guesthouse. After that, we will visit Kazakhstan's oldest Buddhist monument, the Tekeli Stele, also known as Kelinshektas. We will continue our hike towards Lower Kora Gorge and head back before it gets dark. Dinner will be served at a guesthouse when we return from the hike.

Day 5: Tekeli - Qapal - Burkhanbulak Waterfall - Qapal
Wake up in the morning to the magnificent views of Jongar Alatau Mountains and enjoy breakfast surrounded by pristine nature. After the first meal of the day, we will continue our journey and head to the ancient town of Qapal, known for its famous Tamshybulak springs. We will check-in at a local guesthouse and have lunch before heading to the Burkhanbulak Waterfall which is part of Jongar Alatau Mountains and upper Kora Gorge. Dinner will be served after we return to the village of Qapal.

Day 6: Qapal - Kalakai Monuments - Ushkol Lakes
After breakfast at the guesthouse, we will head to witness the petroglyphs dating back to the Early Bronze, Iron, and Turkic periods at Bayan Jurek Ridge. The rock paintings are categorized into two distinct complexes: the western part of the ridge, and Tasbas Tract, situated in the eastern region. The next stop will be at the Kalakai Monument for sightseeing and lunch. The main goal of the day is to reach Ushkol Lakes located on the foothills of Jongar Alatau Mountains. Dinner will be served at the camp that will be set in the surrounding area.

Day 7: Ushkol Lakes - Ekiasha - Topolevka


In the morning, have breakfast with a great view of the lakes and mountains. We will advance our safari adventure through Sarkand to stop by the Jongar Alatau National Park office. Our journey continues along a picturesque mountain road to Ekiasha village, where you'll see the Aulie Tas Rock and enjoy a picnic lunch in its vicinity. Subsequently, we'll head to Topolevka village for a check-in and lunch. We will have a chance to explore the area and taste some original apples. After returning to the village guesthouse, dinner will be served, and you'll have the chance to unwind and rest for the night.

Day 8: Topolevka - Lepsi - Lake Jasylkol - Lepsi
We will have a traditional Kazakh breakfast at the guest house with fresh ingredients from the farms nearby. Following breakfast, we will move to the village of Lepsi. After checking-in at the local guesthouse, we will have a chance to buy some honey from the honey farms on our way to Lake Jasylkol. The lake‘s color changes from time to time depending on the season, weather, and melting glaciers. Lunch will be served outdoors to enjoy the views of the lake. We will explore the area around the lake and a bit further before coming back to the village for dinner.

Day 9: Lepsi - Agynkaty River - Lepsi
Following breakfast at the guesthouse, we will hike to near the source of the major local river that flows through the national park and fills Lake Jasylkol. After the exploration and hiking by the river, we'll stop to have a picnic lunch. After that we'll descend back to the apiary of the Jongar Alatau and return to the village of Lepsi located downhill. Dinner will be served at the guesthouse in the evening. Bathhouse and sauna facilities will be available for guests to enjoy relaxation after a day full of activities.

Day 10: Lepsi - Sarkand



In the morning, we will receive a breakfast at the guest house made with ingredients from the farms nearby. After the meal, we will go to the Museum of Lepsi History that is located in the village. The last stop of our journey lies in the town of Sarkand. We will check into the guesthouse to rest and have lunch. After the meal, we will go for a brief tour of the town, and get back for a special farewell dinner to celebrate the end of the unforgettable journey. Our safari adventure through the Valley of Seven Rivers has come to an end.

Day 11: Departure from Sarkand




We will depart for Almaty after our breakfast at the guest house. Our services are available if you need to transfer from the city center to the train station, the airport or a hotel.
